About Me

My name is Nicole Narainsamy, proudly from the sunny and vibrant city of Durban, South Africa. Nestled along the warm Indian Ocean, my hometown is known for its rich cultural diversity, golden beaches, and unforgettable cuisine, all of which have shaped who I am. I’m passionate about embracing new experiences, meeting people from all walks of life, and bringing positive energy wherever I go. Whether I'm enjoying a beachside sunrise or diving into a new project, I carry the spirit of Durban with me, warm, colorful, and full of life.

Area of special interest

As an educator, my mission is to ignite a passion for learning in each of my learners and to empower them to believe in their own potential. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every learner feels seen, heard, and valued. By recognizing their unique strengths and encouraging a growth mindset, I help them embrace challenges with confidence and resilience. Through consistent encouragement, high expectations, and meaningful connections, I aim to inspire my learners not only to dream big but to work diligently towards turning those dreams into reality. My greatest reward is witnessing their growth not just academically, but as confident, capable individuals ready to make a positive impact in the world.

My Education

I hold a Bachelor of Education degree in the Intermediate Phase, which has equipped me with a strong foundation in both pedagogy and subject knowledge tailored to learners in their critical developmental years. In addition to my formal teaching qualification, I have also obtained a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, which has broadened my skill set and enhanced my ability to effectively teach English to non-native speakers. These qualifications, combined with my passion for education, enable me to create dynamic and inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive academically and personally.

My Experience

My journey as a primary school teacher has been both enriching and transformative. I began my teaching career in South Africa, where I spent a year laying the foundation of my practice and discovering my passion for nurturing young minds. I then relocated to Hong Kong, an experience that significantly broadened my perspective and allowed me to refine my teaching methods in a dynamic, multicultural setting.

It was there that I truly began to grow both personally and professionally gaining valuable insights into differentiated instruction, language development, and cross-cultural communication. Most recently, I continued my journey in Bahrain as a homeroom educator, where I took on greater responsibility in guiding students through a holistic learning experience. Each new environment has deepened my understanding of global education and strengthened my ability to adapt, connect, and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have not only enhanced my teaching skills but also opened my eyes to the powerful impact of education across cultures.
