About Me

I'm Sanjay Kumar Karna, a Mathematics and Further Mathematics teacher with 23 years of experience in international education. Throughout my career, I’ve taught in Nepal, Norway, Oman, China, and Myanmar, developing a global teaching perspective and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality learning. I hold an M.Ed. from Norway and an M.Sc. from Nepal. Currently, I teach Year 11, Year 12, and Year 13 at MISY, where I strive to inspire confidence and curiosity in every math learner.

Area of special interest

Mathematics Lab-work, Maths Quizzes, YouTube Math Channel (RBS Mathletics), Students club works and Excursion.

My Experience

1. Skilled in teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics & Statistics, as well as school-level Math, Science, and laboratory facilitation.

2. Over 11 years of pastoral care experience, including leadership as House and Hostel Head.

3. Founder and coordinator of the Mathematics Laboratory at Budhanilkantha School.

4. Proven ability in organizing and leading student social activity clubs throughout career.

5. Actively developing expertise in IB-MYP Mathematics instruction.

6. Proficient in teaching A-Level (Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics, Further Mathematics), AP (Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus AB/BC, SEE, NEB, CBSE, and IB (SL & HL) Mathematics.
