I was born and raised in Indonesia and I am Chinese Indonesian, with my grandparents hailing from Xiamen, Fujian. I have been teaching Mandarin for 18 years. After teaching in Indonesia for nearly two decades, I decided to embark on a new adventure abroad. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching students from over 20 nationalities, and I’m proud of the diverse backgrounds my students come from. My passion lies in creating a classroom environment that fosters creativity and innovation, where students are empowered to personalize their learning through collaboration and inquiry-based methods.

As both a language learner and teacher, I understand the power of language and always seek enjoyable ways for students to learn Mandarin.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing badminton and chess, traveling, and spending quality time with my two sons, who will be joining Y1 and Y8 at MISY this year.
