About Me

My name is Yoon Nandar Aung, also known as Yuna, and I am a Primary Teaching Assistant. I have loved working with children ever since I was young, and my passion for teaching English began when I attended summer English courses at an international school at the age of 10. This early experience inspired me to pursue a BA in English, along with a Diploma in English and an IH Upper-Intermediate certificate. I also have knowledge of Chinese and Korean, which helps me connect with learners from different backgrounds.

I truly enjoy supporting young learners and know how to handle children with patience and care, creating a caring, positive, and inclusive classroom. Working at MISY makes me feel happy and comfortable, and I really enjoy being part of such a welcoming school environment. Although I am new to teaching, I am enthusiastic, patient, and eager to learn, and I look forward to growing with the school and contributing to a supportive and engaging learning community.

Area of Special Interest

I enjoy painting, digital art, and creative writing because they allow me to bring creativity into the classroom. I also like DIY decorations and flower arranging, which help make learning spaces welcoming and engaging for young learners. Learning new languages and reading self-development or fiction books improves my communication skills and understanding of different perspectives. Listening to music and podcasts keeps me motivated and positive, so I can support students in a caring and encouraging way.
