I’m Erwin Barte, a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) under the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines. I am a singer, composer-arranger, theater actor, vocal coach, choir conductor, band director, musical director and music educator. I graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Music in Music Education & Voice from Santa Isabel College-Conservatory of Music Manila, Philippines. I won the Kundiman Fiesta Inter-school Vocal Competition (Champion) in the year 1995 in Manila. I could say that my grandmother had the greatest influence on my music career. I can still remember her soft and enchanting soprano voice as she was singing me lullabies and Filipino folksongs before I went to sleep since I stayed with my “Lola” until I finished my secondary education (Lola means grandmother in Filipino). As a music educator for 27 years, I have worked with the Philippines' respected Catholic private schools. I do believe that my experiences and roots in church music molded me to become a more patient music teacher and my love for children. I taught for a year in one of the International Schools in Yangon, Myanmar, from 2019 to 2020. Time went so fast and now I am beginning my second year here in MISY Mandalay as a full time music teacher.
