About Me

I am originally from the Netherlands and have been working in various international schools in different countries for more than 25 years. I studied sociology, economics, and urban planning in the Utrecht University in the Netherlands. I currently teach humanities at MISY - Geography, History, Global Perspectives, and Business Studies.

Area of special interest

I am especially interested in teaching Geography and History. I believe Geography is currently an important subject due to climate change. History is interesting because we can learn from history, repeat the good achievements and avoid past mistakes.

My Education

  • I have a bachelors and masters degree from Utrecht University with majors in sociology and economics and minors in geography and spatial planning

My Experience

  • I have more than 25 years of experience in teaching various humanities subjects like geography, history, business studies, global perspectives, and economics.

  • I have been trained to work with the Cambridge and IB curriculums
