About Me

I’m Nathaniel Austin, but you can call me Nate. I’m 42 years old and I teach math and art in the secondary school. I’m from the United States and I have one brother and one sister. My family lives along the west coast of the USA. I like being a teacher, because it gives me the opportunity to do something helpful and useful for other people.

Area of special interest

I like to read and listen to audiobooks in my free time. I like fantasy and adventure stories, but sometimes also mysteries or thrillers. Additionally, I try to stay physically active and do some sports or exercise as much as possible. I like to cook when I have access to a kitchen.

My Education

  • I finished high school in 1998, after which I went to college in Portland, Oregon, USA

  • I have degrees in both mathematics and art history

  • I received my Master’s degree in Education in 2012

  • I’m certified to teach secondary school in the American state of Oregon

My Experience

  • I’m a teacher from the United States. I’ve been teaching for 11 years, most of which has been in Asia

  • I have worked in Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, China and now Myanmar
